Submit Your Arts Activities!
Artists, arts organizations, arts businesses, and creatives of all types are encouraged to submit their October events or activities through spokanearts.submittable.com. Using the information submitted, Spokane Arts will promote those events and programs to the community, encouraging people to attend and support them.
Spokane Arts will promote the events and activities in one or many of the following ways: inclusion in an online Create Spokane calendar, where people can browse for events and build a personalized schedule; on the Spokane Arts social media (including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and more); in the Spokane Arts e-newsletter (over 3,000 subscribers); and more. Spokane Arts will place print and digital advertising to promote Create Spokane month, which will link to the calendar and may feature certain submitted events. (Spokane Arts cannot promise that every single submission will be featured in our print advertising campaign, but all relevant submissions will be promoted via the online resources listed above.) Spokane Arts will also seek earned media coverage to promote October’s arts and cultural offerings.
Arts Awards Nominations Open Now
Arts Awards recognize the accomplishments of artists, arts and cultural organizations and local individuals committed to enriching our community through the arts. The four awards categories reflect the values of Spokane Arts: Leadership, Collaboration, Imagination and Inclusion.
In any of these categories, you may nominate an artist, volunteer, neighborhood, educator, organization, community leader, donor, business or any other entity which you feel deserves recognition. Emerging or established, young or old, on the edge or in the center – we welcome any nomination that celebrates the wealth of participation in Spokane’s arts ecosystem.
Here’s the list of the award categories:
Leadership – positive and consistent advocacy, a role model for others in the arts, a venture culturalist, excellent stewardship of resources
Collaboration – creating and supporting partnerships, sharing resources, finding shared solutions, brings new meaning to the phrase “democratic participation”
Inclusion – enacting just and diverse community, building bridges across divides, proactive approach to accessibility and inclusion
Imagination – an energizing and inspiring presence, jaw-dropping creativity, sky’s-the-limit approach, excellent execution of innovative ideas
